Backpacking

Backpacking combines hiking and camping in a single activity. You can spend just one night or you can spend weeks in the woods. You will need to carry supplies and equipment that will allow you to eat and sleep comfortably.

By packing all of your gear into a backpack, you are able to take long hikes into the woods and not have to worry about getting back to a campsite. You will need to include plenty of water, food, and means of shelters. You will need to have a backpack that will hold your tent and sleeping bag.

One of the disadvantages to the backpacking experience are the fact that you must carry a heavy pack. You have the weight of the backpack, supplies, gear, etc. The weight can be a distraction from the experience. In addition, you spend hours setting up and breaking down camp.
